The Latest from the High Point Market

It’s that time.  We’re able to enjoy some in person events again and so I’m off to the High Point Market this year with my Design Assistant Taylor.  So much fun and the treasures we will find.  In case you’re interested in attending, the Market takes place this year from June 5th to June 9th in High Point, NC.  It’s they place to go if you’re a designer trying to keep up with the latest and greatest in designs.  Here you can find new designers, new styles, new color combinations and new textures.  But plan, because it’s a large venue.  And there are plenty of in person networking opportunities and featured designers learning.  The smart thing to do before you go is to check out the Style Spotters Spring 2021 Preview at https://www.highpointmarket.org/products-and-trends. And check out their pre-planning video checklist at https://www.highpointmarket.org/plan-your-trip.

What’s New

The High Point Market has a wonderful page on their web site to highlight what’s new from each vendor featuring new product lines.  Everything from a metal canopy bed to credenzas, chests and bowls in colors and materials that you’ve not seen combined before.  And don’t miss the smalls.  Blankets, pillows, poofs, and artwork plus many, many other accessories.  Can’t attend in person?  Then attend their Virtual Education Series and Style Spotters online.  If you can’t be there to buy, then be present to learn.  These events are said to be pretty darn phenomenal.  Also, if you’re into antiques, you can visit the Antique & Design Center, the premier destination for period pieces with stories to tell.  And lastly if you have supply chain on the brain, you can find out what exhibitors are doing to find ways to overcome COVID-19 disruptions.
